You've already had to carry so much.

[Maybe not as much of his burden as she could've. Maybe it hasn't been the same here, where her family name isn't followed by a gaggle of looks and whispers. But it isn't as if she's been without troubles... Those things still exist, even if they're distant. There are the hazards of this world, and there is Akechi.

She's had to carry the weight of the things Akira has said, and the things that he hasn't.

How could he ever ask her to carry more, when she's already...?

I want you to tell me always, when you can.]

If I made things harder for you, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself for it.

[When they were in Tokyo, it was one thing. If the others were here, it would be another thing. If they had even one more of them here-

But in this reality, they are only two Phantom Thieves strong.]

If you're going to carry my pain, you have to promise me you won't take too much. Here, when we're on our own... We always try to, but now more than ever, we need to watch over each other.

[While you still can.

While you're both still here.

It's a cruel, ugly vine that wraps around his heart. If Maruki was truly taken back to his version of Tokyo, there's truly nothing Akira can do to protect Haru from the same.]

[Akira can feel the weight of all the words he hasn't spilled, heavy in his gut and pulling his limbs down into inertia.

He can feel the sharp prick of his own concern, still begging him to not force pain on her that she should never have to deal with.

And yet he thinks of just sitting with her in the silence, treating her to the warmth of a homecooked meal-

In the midst of the gray that encroaches on his vision, there is light.]

I would, yes.

Let me know when you're coming, and I'll put on some tea for us. We can just sit together for a little while.
